WINTERS — November 2, 2026. The Winters Public Works Department maintains public streets, parks, storm drains and water and wastewater systems, and lists a separate emergency contact for overnight hours.
Which service handles the problem
Public Works deals with infrastructure such as water and sewer facilities, stormwater maintenance and public rights-of-way. Specific requests may instead fall to the county or to a private utility, depending on the address.
When to call
Winters says after-hours water, street, park and sewer emergency calls from 3:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. go to Yolo County Dispatch at 530-795-4561. General municipal Public Works information is listed at 530-795-4291.
How to report safely
Provide an exact address, nearby intersection and the observed hazard. Avoid entering fast-moving water, approaching downed wires or crossing marked work zones. Call 911 when a person is in immediate danger.
